The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center is proud to announce the exhibitions and opening receptions of Teen Photo (2016 – 2017), PPAC’s free after school teaching program and our biggest year to date. Exploring the creative possibilities of digital photography, students from area schools had the opportunity to develop their own artistic style, while learning to use digital equipment at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center. The student photographers spent nine months learning and discovering the medium through their own lens.
For the first time in PPAC’s history we will have two consecutive exhibitions featuring the work of over 60 Philadelphia teens.
This year’s Teen Photo exhibition includes the work of 44 young artists: Abreanna Williams, Aley Chaing, Amna Khalafalla, Andre Pak, Angelle Rivera, Ani Rowland, Ariana Rivera, Armanie Nickens, Asycurie Lombestova, Avery Martinez, Caren Teague, Casa Casañas, Ciani Batista, Deja Griffin, Donte Woodlin, Dymonique Hammond, Déquan Baston, Erika Ramirez-Lorenzo, Geneva Williams, Hunter Hedgepeth, Huong Vu, Imani Batista, Imani Jones, Jada McAden, Janiyah Buxton, Jasmine Culbreath, Javayah Griffin, Jordyn Sanders, Joseph Novales, Kody Taylor, Le’Mar Nunez, Makeda Robinson, Martha Victoria, Pichmonyrath Peou, Queyana Myers, Rebecca Greenberg, Saniyah Robinson, Saphira Paul-Fils, Spencer Morris, Syreeta Williams, Talayah Ross, Yiovanny Pagan, Zaina Belgrave, and Zamir Bey.
