PS Event: Artists Speak

  • Jed Williams Gallery 615 Bainbridge Street Philadelphia, PA, 19147 United States (map)

Artists Speak is designed to showcase a diverse array of working Philadelphia Artists, at varying stages of their careers, in order to facilitate an inclusive and open discourse as well as foster critical engagement with the work being made in Philly at present.

This first edition will include presentations by:

Jessica Gamble is an interdisciplinary artist whose work focuses on exploring human memory and its relationship to spirit and organic physical processes.

Jed Williams is a painter whose work explores abstraction combined with a quest to examine the human form, as well as pop culture and contemporary mythologies.

Maps Bolt is an artist, innovator and techno-shaman whose work examines cultural paradigms and aims towards deepening our collective awareness of the Earth.

This is a chance for all Philadelphians to get to know our city's artists more intimately, beyond the walls of galleries and institutions. Each artist will speak for 20 minutes about their working process, followed by a brief question and answer period.  Artists Speak is free to attend.
