Nine weeks, 10 sites, 20+ artists, and one central question: What is an appropriate monument for the city of Philadelphia? Monument Lab, a public art and history project from Mural Arts Philadelphia and curators Paul M. Farber and Ken Lum, kicks off with this special preview event, days before a massive citywide opening. Hear from world-renowned participating artists Mel Chin and Tania Bruguera, plus the curators, JaneGolden, and Mayor Jim Kenney.

Sponsorship: Major support for Monument Lab projects staged in Philadelphia's five squares has been provided by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage. An expanded artist roster and projects at five neighborhood sites have been made possible by a significant grant from the William Penn Foundation. Lead corporate sponsor is Bank of America.
