Bill Timmins
I have had the privilege to live a very eclectic, some would say, colorful life. It has provided me countless wonderful experiences, the opportunity to see many places and meet all kinds of people. The one common denominator I have found among almost everyone is their innate love of beauty.
Beauty can be found all around us in everyday life, if we look hard enough. It isn’t always obvious, and often appears in the most surprising and unexpected ways. The genesis of my paintings are often derived from my initial thoughts, feelings and internal emotions evoked by beauty. Rather than express it in an external, representational form, I reference music, dreams, memories and nature for inspiration, and attempt to convey my joy through the abstract, via color, shape, texture, and space. I then leave it to others to view and interpret the images through their own personal perspective.

Phyllis Anderson
Phyllis Anderson has been painting for nearly three decades. Her current series, High Country Variations, explores expressionist and abstracted versions of western landscapes. Every year for the last decade, she has spent several weeks in Colorado and this personal connection inspired the pieces in this show. She explores different ways of seeing the landscape, from the straightforward depiction of “Byers Peak February,” to the scribbles of “Study, Variation #2,” where a single pink line stands in for a mountain range. Throughout the Variations series, dancing color and the immediacy of the gesture illustrate the power & energy found in remote places, and celebrate the transformative possibility inherent in the wilderness experience.
