Conversation and Reception: Friday, February 2nd, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Please join us for a conversation on Thomas Chimes’s metal box constructions from the 60s, focusing on their correlation to the rise of the machine in the postwar era, as well as the artist’s lifelong interest in Greek thought and mythology. Robert Mattison, author of forthcoming publication Thomas Chimes: Metal Boxes, 2018, will focus on this subject and share new research with two scholars and in exchange with our audience.
