  • Park Towne Place 2200 Benjamin Franklin Parkway Philadelphia, PA 19130 United States (map)

Please join us for the opening of the first rotational exhibit of 2019 at Park Towne Place Museum District Residences.

Hatch, a show curated by Dr. Susanna W. Gold in partnership with InLiquid, offers a vibrant collection of complex and deeply colorful artworks. This exhibition features the artwork of Andrew Chalfen, Carole Loeffler, Denise Philipbar, Donna Sensor Thomas, Jay Walker, Paul Santoleri, and Stan Smokler.

From line drawings viewers can get lost in to a kaleidoscopic installation of laser-cut paper, this exhibition is based on the accumulation of marks, amounting to a final impression greater than the sum of their parts. The title, Hatch, references the historic drawing technique of 'hatching,’ where closely placed short lines repeat to ultimately produce a full visual experience. Whether created in paint, paper, tape, ribbon, fiber, blocks, rods, steel, or motion - repeated lines provide the fundamental structure to these works.

The opening night reception is a special opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists. The event begins in the North Tower at 6pm with hors-d'oeuvres and refreshments. Artist talks begin at 6:30.

The award-winning Art Program at Park Towne Place is presented by Aimco, one of the largest owners of apartment homes including 12 communities in Philadelphia. For more information about Aimco, please visit our website at
