Talk: David C. Driskell

The Arthur Ross Gallery is proud to announce that David C. Driskell, distinguished artist, professor, and scholar in the field of African-American art, will present the third annual Susan T. Marx Distinguished Lecture on March 21, 2019.
Dr. Driskell is an emeritus professor at the University of Maryland, College Park. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Catholic University and nine Honorary Doctoral degrees.
In 2000, Driskell was honored by President Bill Clinton
as one of 12 recipients of the National Humanities Medal.
Through this annual lecture series Susan T. Marx (CW’66) and the Arthur Ross Gallery seek to inspire Penn students across disciplines to develop an interest in or a passion for art and to attract a regional and national audience.

Funding for the Susan T. Marx Distinguished Lecture Series is provided by a gift to the University of Pennsylvania from Susan T. Marx.
