The Clay Studio Graduate Student Biennial: Focus on Whitman

The Clay Studio's Graduate Student Biennial joins the region-wide celebration of Walt Whitman: Whitman at 200: Art and Democracy. was a monumental figure in the American art and Literature world, and has been called America's "poet of democracy." The artwork in the exhibition is inspired by such immortal lines as: "I am large, I contain multitudes," "Forever Alive, Forever Forward," and "I celebrate myself and sing myself." The Clay Studio's juried Graduate Student Biennial has a long history of showing work by future Resident Artists, NCECA Emerging Artists, and major grant recipients.
