Modern and Contemporary Landscapes

  • PAFA 128 North Broad Street, 19102 (map)

Join us in the School of Fine Arts and Tuttleman Galleries for the opening reception of "Modern and Contemporary Landscapes"

Landscape is a relevant subject for the contemporary artist, whether they are visualizing the human impact upon nature or searching for the right color passage. Art can be a mirror held up to society and each era is then reflected in the art of that period. Artists working today thoughtfully dig deeper into their subject to reflect contemporary society. Their findings and advancements serve to aid the discovery of their own personal subject and vision.
